How do purchasing and deployment differ?+
Some tools are selected and deployed by a health system, often with direct EHR integration. palmER can be started directly, works alongside any EMR via copy and paste, and does not require an IT rollout.
Is ambient scribing enough for the ED?+
Ambient capture is great for an HPI and Exam. The MDM is the part of the chart that matters most for billing and medico-legal defensibility, and it generally has to be assembled from the chart, not the conversation. palmER pairs ambient scribing with a chart-paste MDM Assistant so the whole note gets done.
Can I keep my current EMR?+
Yes. palmER works alongside any EMR via copy and paste. There is no integration step or IT setup required.
How is patient data handled?+
palmER is HIPAA-compliant by design. Audio is transcribed and immediately discarded; no human-listenable audio ever exists on our servers. Patient data automatically deletes within 24 hours. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and AI providers used by palmER operate under zero-retention agreements. This matters medicolegally because retained audio, transcripts, drafts, edits, prompts, and questions may create a record beyond the note you signed. palmER does not retain that shadow record.
