Navigating palmEM AI

palmEM AI is designed for one-handed use during hectic shifts. Everything you need is accessible within two taps, and the interface stays consistent whether you're on your phone or tablet. Here's how to navigate the app efficiently.

App Interface Overview

When you open palmEM AI, you'll see:

• Search Bar (top): Enter keywords, abbreviations, or phrases for instant results
• Top Tab Bar: Categories, Medications, and PediTape
• Bottom Tab Bar: Home, AI Reference, Bookmarks, and Search

The interface is clean and uncluttered because you don't have time to hunt through nested menus when a patient is coding.

Categories Tab

Your central hub for clinical content organized by body system and specialty.

The Categories tab contains emergency medicine content structured the way you think during patient evaluation - by presenting complaint and body system rather than alphabetically.

What you'll find:

• Clinical decision rules (PERC, Wells, HEART, Canadian C-spine, etc.)
• Evidence-based guidelines for common presentations

Tap any category to expand it, then select the specific topic you need. Everything is fully referenced with links to source literature.

Medications Tab

Quick access to dosing, contraindications, and administration guidelines for emergency medications.

The Medications tab is organized by clinical scenario rather than alphabetically - because when you need etomidate, you don't want to scroll through 50 other drugs.
